COOKING PROCEDURE:
Wash & Fill: Rinse in cold water. Repeat until the water is almost clear. Fill container with enough water to cover the rice (Ideally 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice)
Soak: Soak the rice in water at least 30 minutes.
Switch on & Cook: Switch on the rice cooker and allow the rice to cook. Remember to allow the rice the rest after cooking before opening the lid.
Serve & Enjoy: Serve the rice along with your favorite dishes. Enjoy your freshly-cooked rice!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The rice, which is black in color, contains plenty of anthocyanin (2), a powerful anti-oxidant which is rarely found in other foods. This anti-oxidant is also present in blueberries, purple grapes, purple cauliflower and bloody orange. This antioxidant-rich food is not easy to grow or cultivate like other rice varieties. The yield is said to be as low as 10% when compared to other rice varieties.
